SPARKLER FAIR FAQ
What is Sparkler Fair?
It is a spring fundraiser hosted by Sugar Mill Elementary PTA to raise money for our school. The tradition dates back to the 1980s when our campus first started. For years, the community has enjoyed carnival-style games, concessions and family fun to support SME.
How much are tickets?
Admission is free, but to play the carnival games and eat concessions you will need tickets. Each ticket costs 50 cents. Tickets can be purchased in the following packages:
10 tickets = $5
20 tickets = $10
40 tickets = $20
100 tickets = $50
You can buy tickets on the day of Sparkler Fair at one of the ticket booths. Ticket pre-sale will take place March 25 - April 5th. No discounts will be honored on pre-sale tickets. It’s simply a way for you to save time and go straight to all the activities on the day of Sparkler Fair. Unused tickets will not be refunded at the end of the carnival. Please consider any leftover tickets a donation to SME PTA. Tickets can be purchased using credit card or cash. No checks will be accepted.
Where will Sparkler Fair be held?
The event will take place at Sugar Mill Elementary on Saturday, April 13th from 11am to 2pm. It will be held rain or shine. We have activities planned for indoor and outdoor.
Who can come?
All are welcome! You do not have to be a student or family who has a child at Sugar Mill Elementary to attend. Invite your your neighbors and friends from the community to join us. Every child attending must be accompanied by an adult.
What kind of food will there be?
The following concessions will be available for purchase: hot dogs, nachos, popcorn, chips, candy, sodas and water available for purchase. A dessert truck will be on site to satisfy those sweet cravings.
Do you need volunteers?
Yes! We are looking for parents, grandparents, teachers and any area high school or middle school students looking to earn service hours. The Volunteer Check-In area will be located at the front of the school on the day of Sparkler Fair. You can volunteer with your children – this is a family friendly event. Sign up to volunteer here! Do you need any items donated for Sparkler Fair?
Yes! We are collecting supplies to help us prepare for Sparkler Fair and our raffle. Watch for the Donation Sign Up Genius to be posted here after Valentine's Day. Do you have something you can donate for one of our raffle gift baskets? Email smeptafundraising@gmail.com.
